MMORPG Group

So, I was thinking for a while, maybe we should find an MMO to all play together?.. A good free one or something. Make a guild for the forum for Rp and stuff? Anyone interested?

If not, then guess this could just be a general discussion on MMO's itself? Whats your favourite?

Well, I like Spiral Knights. It's free, it can run on most things, it's pretty fun, and they've lifted some restrictions about dungeon exploring. You should go check it out on Steam.

The problem with playing an MMO with everyone from the forum is the continent divide. I don't think I need to go into the bandwidth problems inherent with it. It's fine for smaller games or flash games, but big games that constantly need to stream data from an over-world would be impossible to play cross-continent in the long run.

Hmm.. thinking back, I can also mention Elsword - a manga-themed beat them up, but I had to uninstall it since my mother wasn't too fond of it. (Too bad, it was pretty fun, impressive, and colored, but I can't see why she does not like it. Maybe it's the white flashes when using special attacks, or the fact you beat everything up without stopping.)

GetAmped 2 also comes to mind - it's a beat them up too, but focused on PVP more than anything. A fun thing is that you can edit part of your character model and texture so you can basically play at whatever character you want if you manage to use the mesh editor - For exemple, I currently use a Neku (TWEWY) skin taken from the official site.

I can also think of Dofus - it's a turn based game, so bandwith won't really be a problem. It's made by french guys, to boot. You can only access the "newbie zone" if not subscribing to the game, but you can still level a lot. I have a guild on that game, but since it's on one of the french servers and we'll likely go on the international ones if playing together, I won't be able to access it.

Last, Quake Live, through it's free online Quake and not an epic adventure.

I can't at the moment because MAC. (I love how I can say that and EVERYONE knows what that means.)

Until one of my friends or I installs a Windows OS on this or I get another laptop that isn't a MacBook Pro, I won't be able to play anything with you guys. XD;

I remember I really liked Rusty Hearts. It was also kind of a beat 'em up game, but I really liked the game's art and music, along with the controls being so smooth with a controller.
